Op 25 september 2015 vindt in Nijmegen de Radboud Researchers’ Night plaats, georganiseerd door de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen en LUX.

Radboud Researchers’ Night richt zich op de wijze waarop technologie wetenschappelijk onderzoek beïnvloedt. Dit wordt vertaald naar de bezoekers aan de hand van verschillende zintuiglijke ervaringen, om inhoud en beleving optimaal te koppelen. Filmhuis en cultureel podium LUX staat die avond vol met interactieve demonstraties en live experimenten om aan mee te doen, zoals het ontdekken van je Twitterpersoonlijkheid en racen met een robotarm. De bezoeker kan zich laten bijpraten tijdens visual talks over onder meer technologie in mode, hersenkunst en de wetenschappelijke (on)mogelijkheden van science fiction. De avond wordt verder gevuld met onder andere wetenschapscabaret, muziek en een geur-DJ.

Voorafgaand aan het festival op vrijdagavond 25 september zullen een aantal satellietprogramma’s plaatsvinden op diverse locaties in Nijmegen. Er wordt een teaseractiviteit op de campus van de Radboud Universiteit georganiseerd, en er komt een onderwijsactiviteit op een basisschool in samenwerking met Wetenschapsknooppunt Nijmegen en Radboud UMC. Ook kunnen exposities worden bezocht in het café van LUX en op de campus.

On September 25, 2015, Radboud Researchers’ Night will take place in Nijmegen. This event is organized by Radboud University Nijmegen and LUX.

Radboud Researchers’ Night focuses on the way technology influences scientific research. On this night, movie theater and cultural hub LUX is filled with interactive demonstrations and live experiments to participate in, like discovering your Twitter personality or racing with a robot arm. Visitors can get themselves informed during visual talks about among other things technology in fashion, brain art and the scientific (im)possibilities of science fiction. Next to this, the program is filled with science comedy, music, a scent-DJ and more.

Before the night of September 25^th, a number of satellite programs will take place at various locations in Nijmegen. A teaser activity will be organized at the Radboud University campus and there will be an education activity on a primary school, organized in cooperation with Science Hub Nijmegen and the Radboud Medical Center. Next to that, exhibitions will be open to the public in the LUX café and on campus.
